In her studio in Busdorf near Schleswig, Kathrin Geller makes light art for the wall, every piece by hand and to order. Her buyers are private customers, hotels, practices and offices. One of her Google reviews explains why buying online is hard: “No photo can show it the way it really looks.” (translated from German)
A piece only comes alive with light, in a room and at the right size. Then there is the pricing logic: the size is width plus height in centimeters, and Galaxy alone comes in 34 sizes. And 76% of clicks from Google Search came from phones, where there is little screen space to show light, room and size.
Until August 2026, the shop ran on Webflow, extended with my own code since spring 2025. Even so, the audit before the migration found gaps: anyone who typed ateliergeller.de without www got an error page, although that address had brought in 127 clicks from Google. People found the studio almost only by its name: among the 1,000 most frequent search terms, terms with the studio's name brought 9,806 clicks, and all other terms combined brought 129. On August 26, 2026, the old site only showed a 404 page, so I brought the migration forward.
